Red, red robin
be-bopps across the newly
green grass. He struts
his stuff, chest out,
head up, eyes bright
surveying the scene. In a blink,
he dips his beak into
the earth,
a snap, a snatch,
a catch—
a fresh worm
dangles from his mouth.
Mealtime victory.
