Worm Dessert
Summer means lots of outdoor time, but
sometimes it’s fun to bring the
outdoors in. While this snack recipe
isn’t really made with dirt, it
is really yummy. Give it a try!
Place the cookies in a plastic zip-lock bag and zip shut. Using a rolling pin, crush the cookies. It will be easier if you don’t try to crush all the cookies at once but do it in smaller batches. Next, empty the pudding mix in a plastic sealable container that holds 3-4 cups. Add the cold milk. Carefully fit the plastic lid on the container. (You don’t want your pudding to splash out.) Then holding the container tightly in your hands, start shaking. You’ll feel the pudding go from liquid to semi-solid the longer you shake. (for at least a minute or two) When the pudding has firmed up, add the cool whip. Then spread a thin layer of cookie dirt (about ½ cup total) in 8 cups (or in a flat pan that everyone can dip into.) Carefully spoon the pudding mixture on top and smooth out. Top with the remaining dirt and worms. Dig in and enjoy! Be sure to refrigerate this treat.
