Super Smoothies

Smoothies are great for breakfast and snacks. Plus, they are easy to make. You can use the general recipe below and mix and match ingredients to create your own personalized favorite. Try some other fresh or frozen fruits—mangoes, peaches, pineapple, for example. And there are a vast variety of yogurt and juice flavors you can try. Write down your favorite ingredients and create your own smoothie recipe collection. Here’s one of my favorites.

Berry Banana Smoothie

2 Cups of slightly thawed FROZEN BERRIES (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)

1 ripe BANANA

1 Cup of MILK (or juice or soymilk)

2 Cups of STRAWBERRY YOGURT (or flavor of your choice)

Put all the ingredients in a blender. Place the lid on securely and blend. This recipe will make enough for two to share—or one really super smoothie. Enjoy!
